Life Lately

Hello! It’s been a long time since I’ve written here and I’ve missed it so much! Let me explain. Yes, life has been full (that’s my new word for busy, haha), and I haven’t made time to blog, but also for the last month and a half, I’ve had some tendinitis/pain in my right wrist and shoulder which has made typing and texting really hard. I saw my first chiropractor last week and he worked his magic and I’m pain free! So happy to freely be able to type again.

I feel like a lot has happened since I last wrote, so I’ll get you all caught up. First of all, I just have to share how excited I am to finally have fall weather in Philly! It’s 60’s and perfect!

Apple Picking

Apple picking is one of my favorite fall activities, so I couldn’t wait to go this year. In September, we went to Highland Orchards with my sister, niece, and brother in law. It was weird picking apples in shorts and 80 degree weather, but the apples were so good! Sadly we’ve already eaten them all, so I think we need to make another trip out there, haha. Nothing beats fresh, orchard apples.

Long Weekend in Virginia

It’s been my childhood dream to visit Colonial Williamsburg, and now that we’re on the East Coast, we had to make a trip. To celebrate a promotion in Beautycounter and Blake’s Birthday, we booked a weekend at a bed and breakfast in Virginia in September. I’ll be doing a trip re-cap post soon, so I won’t spoil any details, but let me just say that it was perfect. I cannot wait to go back to the bed and breakfast some day!


So much has been happening here! I am working hard for a promotion in Beautycounter by the end of the year! It’s my dream to bring in a full-time salary with Beautycounter and I’m getting close! I’ve welcomed a couple new girls to my team and love mentoring them, and I’ve been able to share safer with more and more people.

I’m also gearing up to start working with health coaching clients in January. Currently, I’m offering free initial consultations. You’ll have the opportunity to talk about your life, what you’ve always dreamed of, and the goals you’d like to accomplish for your health. I’ve been debating how to share about some changes I’ve made in my eating because I don’t want to trigger anyone. In a nutshell, I’ve been experimenting with cutting out gluten and dairy for some health reasons. I do not believe these are bad foods at all. I would never cut them out if I felt fine with them, but for now I am seeing if they make a difference.

To be honest, it’s been a challenge figuring out intuitive eating with dietary restrictions and I have felt hypocritical. I truly believe that you can eat intuitively even with dietary restrictions, if you do in fact have sensitivities to certain foods. I’m working out my thoughts on this and would love anyone’s insight on navigating intuitive eating with sensitivities. Also, please share your favorite gluten-free recipes! I need some ideas.
