It's been a while since I've done a Friday Favorites and I plan to bring them back regularly because I love reading them on other people's blogs.

I don't know about you, but this week I was in a funk. I don't know if there was something in the air, because I talked to so many other people who felt the same way! I hope your week was better than mine! It took me, getting my mindset in check and recommitting to my morning routine (I know it's so good for me, yet it's so easy to get off track). Excited for a weekend of visiting family and relaxing before we start the packing process for our move. I can't believe we move in a couple weeks! For those of you who don't know, Blake and I are moving to Madison, WI for him to go to law school!

Okay, let's move onto some things I have been loving lately!


Since it's been so hot here, I have had zero desire to eat anything hot (except my hot morning coffee). So last weekend I batch cooked some breakfast options Blake and I could enjoy cold in the morning. One option was boiled eggs (which I enjoyed alongside fruit and nut butter) and the second option was this baked oatmeal. You can enjoy it heated up, but I think it tastes great cold as well! Blake and I have been on a reading spree this summer! He's been reading the Harry Potter series for the first time, and I of course have been reading all the memoirs and non-fiction - I LOVE history, especially memoirs. I just finished Julie Andrews' first memoir, Home, and loved it! I grew up watching all the Julie Andrews movies and especially loved the Sound of Music, so it was fun to learn more about her childhood and how she got to where she is today. This first memoir is about her early years and time in the theater (My Fair Lady!), and her second one is about her years in Hollywood. I'm excited to read that second one once I get my hands on it


Blake and I discovered the show Alone recently, and we've totally been sucked in! In essence, it's about 10 wilderness survival experts who are dropped off in the wilderness and need to survive. Now, if you're a very sensitive soul, I would not recommend it, but if you can stand a little intensity you'd love it!


I've had my eye on a Hydro Flask for a while, but it just wasn't in the budget for a while. I have been using a Nalgene since high school, and I love how much water it carries and how light it is, but I wanted to get away from using plastic water bottles. I've been making a little extra spending money on the side and deciding to finally invest in a Hydro Flask. I bought the 32oz bottle with the straw lid in white (this one), and I love it! I drink so much water with the straw and I love how it's insulated!


One of the foods I've missed the most since being diagnosed with SIBO is ice cream. I love ice cream, especially in the summer. When I saw Kate Scarlata share that some Beckon ice cream flavors are low FODMAP, I knew I had to get some! Thankfully I found them at Whole Foods!! So far I've tried Sea Salt Chocolate Chip and it's so good and doesn't wreak my stomach! This flavor is especially good with a little spoonful of natural, salted peanut butter. My ice cream loving heart is in heaven!


With constant SIBO bloat, I've been all about stretchy and loose-fitting clothing. I bought these shorts originally for pajama shorts but when I got them they seemed more like workout or lounge shorts. I'm so glad I bought them because I have been living in them all summer long!! Not sure if you'd consider them stylish, but they sure are comfy.
