August Favorites + A Beautycounter Promo

Hello! I hope you all are enjoying a longer weekend! My parents have been in town taking care of my niece, so we’ve spent a lot of time together this week and weekend. No big plans, just being together, which has been so nice. I’m also taking a week-long break from Instagram, and life has been simple.

I know it’s a couple days late, but I wanted to throw in an August favorites post and share about a Labor Day promo you don’t want to miss!

BEAUTYCOUNTER PROMO: Get a free travel sized body lotion and brightening face oil ($49 value) with $150 purchase. More details here and how to get another full-size product for free!

If you need help picking out skincare, take this quiz and share it with me. You can also see my favorite products in this post.

Make sure you’re on my Beautycounter newsletter to hear more about promos, including ones just available to subscribers.

THIS PODCAST: I love podcasts (it’s where I get my inspiration and learn so much), and just found the Mind Body Green Podcast (mbgpodcast). As I progress in IIN, I’ve loved digging deeper into nutrition topics like medicinal mushrooms and popular health products. The episodes on Four Sigmatic and Perfect Bar are two of my favorites.

THIS BANANA BREAD: I’ve tried many banana bread recipes, and have found a keeper – Oh She Glow’s Vegan Banana Bread. It can be vegan, but that’s not why I make it, I make it because it’s flavorful and moist. I usually use brown sugar instead of coconut sugar (because that’s what I have on hand), regular milk instead of almond milk, and I have used melted butter instead of coconut oil at times.

THIS SHAMPOO + CONDITIONER I have fallen in love with Beautycounter’s Daily Shampoo and Conditioner (my husband loves it too)! I have tried several “natural” shampoos and conditioners and none of them made my hair feel clean or soft. When I first started using Beautycounter’s shampoo and conditioner, it took a couple months for my hair to adjust, but now it’s the best. For the first time ever, I’m able to let my hair air-dry and it’s not greasy or frizzy.

MADEWELL T’S I’m a pretty basic girl when it comes to fashion – jeans and a t-shirt are my uniform. But, I’ve been searching for a good quality T that I like (and doesn’t coast a fortune). I’ve heard so much about Madewell T’s and finally checked them out last week. They were so perfect, I bought three on the spot. I love the weight and that they are 100% cotton so they will breathe. If you’re looking for a good T, check out Madewell.

What’s something you’ve been loving recently?
